To the people that answered my dutch question…?
First off, thanks! I will NOT be doing that. However, we are doing a beach wedding (free). What ideas can you give me for doing a reception on the beach. Finger foods sound good to me. But still no centerpieces and favors? DJ, no DJ? Thanks again!!!

Now THAT sounds fun! Here is what I would do…..
~ DJ? Hmmm….if it’s a public beach, that may not work. And, unless you brought in a portable dance floor…it’s very difficult to dance on a beach.
~ You CAN, however, play music with an ipod and speakers. OR, perhaps hire a solo guitarist/singer. Something really easy to listen to.
~ Foods: I would definitely do finger foods: finger sandwiches, assorted cheeses and crackers, fruit and dip, veggies and dip and anything else that you can think of!
~ I would do centerpieces (I love to decorate!) Do some kind of beach theme if you want. You can get glass bowls or vases and put some seashells in the bottom (sold at craft stores like Michaels) and put in a few floating candles OR float some real flowers (gerbera daisies work good for this).
Another idea would be to get small round (or square) clear glass vases. Layer different colors of sand (sold at Michaels or Hobby Lobby) and then place some shells on top. This looks really nice and is very easy to do!
