Ideas for mountain weddings?
Im planning a wedding in the mountains, we rented a big gym for the reception, I need some ideas for centerpieces? The colors i like are pink, green and brown. I want to stay true to the mountain scenery but with modern class? What are things that i can incorporate in the decorations that would be low key casual, not fancy, but still beautiful and orginal?
I had a mountain wedding. I used mason jars for the centerpieces with wildflower arrangements in them. There was a tulle bow tied around the neck of them. Everyone absolutely loved them! We served lemonade out of metal pails (lined with plastic liners) and dipped with ladles. Favors were little mini jars of home-made jam with fabric on the lids tied with tulle. We had a local blue grass band play while people were waiting to go in to the reception and left the doors open so guests could hear them playing while they ate and mingled. We did gingham tablecloths with lace doily place mats and small clear flower pot votives. The gingham, lace and mason jars had a tremendous look with the votives giving great light under fluorescent! People are still talking about how beautiful the wedding was. You can pull it with style – just don’t over-do it.
